Tire Types
Normally, cushion tires are solid tires that have no tread pattern. They are mainly designed to be utilized on solid and smooth surfaces, typically indoors. There are tread patterns available however, which are more suitable for different surface environments. The cushion tires are common on smooth warehouse floors and in similar applications.
However, pneumatic tires need air and have been particularly designed for outdoor use on uneven ground and loose surfaces. Pneumatic truck tires have higher ground clearance as well. This raises the center of gravity of the forklift and greatly reduces its rated lift capacity. Most often, pneumatic tires are utilized in rough terrain surroundings due to their ability to navigate uneven surfaces in a smoother manner. Lots of construction sites and agricultural or mining applications depend on these tires in order to make sure the equipment can travel as safe and carefully as possible.
Lift Capacity and Lift Height
It is important to know the maximum weight and dimensions of the loads you would be handling in order to determine the capacity of the vehicle needed. In addition, you would have to know the maximum fork height required so as to rack or stack the loads. These factors, the lifting height and the load size, greatly affect the truck's lifting capacity. A bigger size load could move the center of gravity of the vehicle and change the load combination. This decreases the machine's lifting capacity and affects the height and the load being lifted. Utilizing various attachments can also affect the truck's overall capacity.
Mast Options
There are lots of different options of masts available on the market. For instance, there are quad, triple, double or single, the numbers indicate how many sections or stages the mast has. In different circumstances, you would not be required to make any choices since the lift height will dictate the type of mast you will get, although, in trucks with very high lift heights, you can have an option.
