Aisle Types
Wide Aisle and Narrow Aisle lift trucks are classed due to the types of aisles they have been designed to operate in. These machines could turn in an aisle, whereas Very Narrow Aisle trucks really don't turn within the aisle. There are certain aisle widths to take into account with various models.
Very Narrow Aisle or VNA trucks operate in less than 6 feet areas and normally utilize specific guidance systems like rail, wire or optical systems in order to travel within the aisles. NA or Narrow Aisle trucks are able to operate in aisles that are 8 feet to 10 feet. Normally these are stand-up models like for instance Reach Trucks. They are often utilized within storage facilities and warehouses.
The wide aisle forklift is designed to work within aisles more than 8 feet to 10 feet.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard which is designed to lessen operator fatigue by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is spacious and has an 8" low step height that helps reduce overall body exhaustion by easing frequent exit and entry. The model consists of polyurethane steer tires to absorb shocks and vibration caused by uneven floor in order to enable smooth traveling. For additional comfort, there is a floor mat and a cushioned armrest as well as a backrest designed to help keep operators comfortable and hence more productive while limiting exhaustion.
