In order to be a successful model, a lift truck needs to be powerful enough to last in all working conditions for many hours of use. It should be able to move cargo effectively and quickly too. The machinery needs to also be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and reliable. The powertrain requires the power to constantly provide great durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with really tough shafts and robust gears. The engine, transmission, steer axle and drive are all isolated to lessen noise and vibration inside of the operator's compartment.
Mazda and GM LP & Gas Engines:
The Mazda LP and GM Gas Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which needs minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engine provide a higher compression ratio leading to better torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on nearly all equipment. It features gears that are 15% stronger and shafts which provide resistance when driving on rough environment. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available which adjusts automatically so as to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system utilizes a computer-controlled power reversal that increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. Additionally, the auto deceleration feature reduces brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Made for extra strength, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. Also, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
Yale had made lots of ergonomic features and safety features part of their regular packages. These machinery will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
